Paint the Town!
Creative Watercolor and Expressive Writing

                   

During inclement weather we will look to beautiful picture books to inspire our themes and discussions. These workshops will be experiential and exploratory, including some simple watercolor tips and techniques.

 

 

As a troupe of wandering “wannabe” artists and writers we will explore areas of interest in Downtown Newburyport. Using our clipboards as easels, simple watercolors, crayons and our imaginations – we hope to share our discoveries with others through art and verse.

 

 



 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

These workshops are inspired by Beth Olshansky’s book, The Power of Pictures: Creating Pathways to Literacy Through Art

One-time Materials Fee: $15  

    - Prang oval 16-Color Watercolor Set

    - Box of 24 Crayola Crayons

    - #9 watercolor brush

    - #10 watercolor brush

    - #3 watercolor brush

    - small sponge

    - art paper

Students will take home watercolors, brushes, crayons and sponge for future use.
